30 years experience mentor sharing knowledge with the young leaders

Scientific Dentistry Alliance (SDA) had the first SDA study club meeting.  The purpose of SDA study club is to creat a platform for the young ambitious people to learn from international well experience mentors from all different field and industry. SDA is working on expanding the study club to provide opportunities for more young leaders to get in touch with successful leaders from worldwide.

 

On the first SDA study club meeting, Scientific Dentistry Alliance (SDA) invited Mr. Frank Lucas, who was the organizational develoopment manager of The Dow Chemical Company and International Training Project Manager of Sadara Chemical Company. Mr. Frank Lucas is also the author of the book 'International Roaming: a family chasing home abroad'.

 

During this SDA study club meeting, Mr. Frank Lucas shared with the participants about the key to turning a plan into action- 'Focus'. There are 3 important elements to achieve 'Focus' as a team.

  1. Be clear and specific
    The vision of the team has to be measurable and specific. Everyone on the team has to be clear and agree on the vision. 

     

     

     

  2. Set goals with deadline and track the progress
    Set goals for each individual as a team, set check points at reasonable intervals. Team meeting should be carried out at the check points and discuss about the progression and brainstorm to solve problems, if there is any.

     

     

     

  3. Stay as a team
    Never be afraid of sharing your difficulties. If everyone on the team involve and agree on the same vision, the main objective will be to solve the difficulties together as a team.
